A Paisley Rainy Day!
I have another Rainy Day card for you.. but first!.. Guess who I got to meet this weekend! Sally Lynn and Sharon Harnist! How lucky ducky am I? I took a Copic consumer class and got to sit right next to Sharon! She is as sweet as could be! It was awesome to meet them. Sally Lynn is one fabuloso energy girl! If you EVER have a chance to take her class do it! She's a real hoot! You'll learn amazing things from her! My mind is still spinning from all that she taught. I only hope my hands can translate what my head and eyes saw and learned! I was amazed at what I saw and thrilled to have gotten the chance to go!
On to my card! I LOVE this paper. It makes me smile. When I saw it I bought it in whatever colors I could find it in.. It's Making Memories I believe.. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I have to get my baking going for the day. I hope she inspires you to do something creative today.

Striped Rainy Day
Busy.. busy...busy... Things are always hectic during the holidays and this year is no exception. Although we've added some community service type projects for our kids to do with us this year. As they get older we are ever mindful of strengthening in them the desire to serve their community. This year we are taking them with us to wrap gifts for military kids who probably wouldn't have much and we are also taking them to pack care packages for soldier's serving in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. We want them to understand that living in this country and enjoying all the things they do comes at a price, and they do to a certain extent because their father has over 20 years in service, but we want them to always be aware of the sacrifices made on their behalf to keep this country safe and strong. The are also taking part in a food drive for our church to donate food throughout the holidays to our local food pantries here in town. Little things that we hope make a big difference in paying forward the blessings we have bestowed upon us. Now on to the card..
Created with my hot pink friends in mind. We all have those girlfriends who are the bright rays in our lives and the make all things easier to bear. I am fortunate to have several and I make many cards with them in mind. I have one friend who always on.. she's funny and full of energy. This card reminds me of her. If you want any specifics please feel free to email me.. I hope she inspires you to do something creative today and that we have inspired you to give a little something back for the blessings you've received. Have a blessed day ya'll!

Let's see if I can actually accomplish that.. the holidays are hectic but I LOVE them. We went out and got our tree yesterday. It smells FABULOUS! I just love that smell! Stamp Club Creation
Live with Passion.. what a great mantra don't ya think? We created this card in stamp club a few months ago and I am just getting down to posting it now.. I had it in my posting pile.. We did a neat technique with chalk to give this card a soft look. I am not a technique girl so going to stamp club helps me broaden my horizons as far as variations are concerned. While I am not likely to do this often, at least I have the technique under my belt. I hope it inspires you to do something creative today. Have a blessed day.

Hot Pink Vintage Blast!
Hey ya'll. I hope your Thanksgiving was a blessed one! Ours was full of food, friends and fun. We are so blessed to have a home to host all those who share our lives with us. I love feeding people in my home. It's not a holiday to me without having a house full of friends and family breaking bread together. DH and I are so very fortunate to have such wonderful friends and co-workers. We are truly thankful for all the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us. While this year has been a tough one we still recognize that we are truly blessed and loved by God. Now, on to the card...
This is another Vintage wish. I truly love this set I think it is one of the most versatile. I will be showing you some projects and my Christmas cards in the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy the card and that it inspires you to do something creative today. Happy December everyone. Have a blessed day.

Rainy Day Thoughts of You
I created this card with a friend in mind whose going through a tough time. Her DH just left for deployment and my heart goes out to her for the tough days ahead of her. Having been there myself I know how important the support of a good friend can be. I hope you like my rainy day gal and that she inspires you to do something creative today. Many Blessings to you all.

Coral Colored Riley Love!
Happy Thanksgiving Week! Preparations are underway here at my homestead for a huge thanksgiving feast! We have a ton of people expecting yummy food and fun for this day of gratitude. This year we have scaled back on the number of dishes being prepared but bumped up the quantity of food.. LOL.. Having a meal with friends and family surrounding us is everything at this time of year. We are so grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon us this year and are thankful to be able to host this event again. My Martha tendencies are in full swing and I am excited to have a houseful again this year! I will be trying to post this week but have a ton of cooking and prep work to do so.. if I don't get back here before the blessed day I wish you and yours a blissful Thanksgiving filled with good food, loving family, and wonderful friends to make your day a blessing.
I hope you enjoy the card, it's another Riley in PJ's card. I am making a bunch of these for the Keiki Cards group who sends cards to ill children.
Blessings to you all,

Coral Colored Rainy Day..
Here's another one of my Rainy Day girls from our Kansas trip. I am getting down to the last pile of these.. I can't believe it took me this long to mount the ones I did on my trip to Kansas. I really hate sitting idle and doing nothing so I took dozens of these paper piercing items with me on our road trip to visit a family friends before her hubby deployed to Iraq. You'd be amazed at how much you can get done in little blocks of time. I am often amazed at how much I can get done in my 5-10 minute intervals. I hope you enjoyed the card, as per my usual there is no sentiment on right now, I'll add it later when I use the card. I am always careful to keep dozens of different sentiments in different sizes and colors(lots of neutrals) to mount quickly when I need a card. I hope this inspires you to do something creative today. Have a blessed day!

Vintage Black White and Red..
Here's another Vintage Picnic creation. I just adore this set! I love love love that you can create virtually any look with this set. I tried to create a little more chic card in this go round. I think I succeeded in that one. I love the color combo. It's one of my favorites. It's bright and bold. I used my Copics to color it in. I added a little bling as the baskets rivets. My kind of basket, a blinged out one, that is. I hope this inspires you to do something creative today. I am wrapping up several 3-d projects and will be sharing them in the coming week. Have a Blessed Day.

PJ Riley's Adorable!
PJ Riley is such a happy looking stamp! It's so adorable. You can make it masculine by changing the color of the PJ's or the teddy bear. I'm sorry to have been MIA the past few weeks. Things here are busy and we are getting back into the swing of things. We have been swamped with kids activities, shopping for a new washing machine, mine broke, I'll see about posting a photo of it later.. If at all possible it's a thing of beauty. It was delivered yesterday and when DH got home I was eager to show him how the thing worked and I just got on a roll! Let me tell you he was ROTFL and said that he'd never seen me so excited about doing laundry! He got a little love smack for that faux paux .. LOL! Anyway.. that's just one of the fires I've put out lately.. So I hope you'll forgive me for being absent so much lately.. I appreciate each and every one of you coming spending a little time here sharing our craft! I hope this card inspires you to do something creative today. Have a blessed day.

Vintage with a little Dew Drops Flair!
Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Between having dental work done and the awful events at Ft. Hood we are just swamped right now. We have very dear friends at Ft. Hood and this tragedy is one for the entire Army Family. The sadness we feel for our fallen and wounded is immense. I ask all of you to lift up the Army Family in prayer as we are trying to come to grips with this senseless act. If you are near Ft. Hood, give blood, if you can, to replenish the supply that was used. Really wherever you are give blood to increase the supply. If you can, give platelets, as they aid the cl0tting necessary to stem bleeding. So as I write this I write it with a heavy heart for those lost, as their stories emerge the sadness can overwhelm. We lost some truly remarkable individual to this senseless act. Keep their loved ones in your prayers.
I hope you enjoy the card. It's another Vintage Picnic creation. If you would like details contact me and I would be happy to give them to you. I hope it inspires you to do something creative today. Have a Blessed Day!

Vintage Picnic Goodness
Vintage Picnic is fast becoming one of my favorite sets. I LOVE the versatility of it and am hoping for an additions set with tons of new fillers and sentiments. I am also in love with the DP I used for the basket. It's from the DCWV Retro pack that I bought about 3 years ago and I have totally been hoarding my scraps. I used them to make this basket and I am liking the result. The main image is colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I think it's spectacular IRL. Sorry the photo is a little crooked. I am considering a light box but have no clue what to look for and what's necessary for someone like me. I don't want to spend a ton on an elaborate set up so I am trying to be smart about my purchase. I hope my card inspires you to do something creative today. Look for some three dimensional project coming soon. I am working on some treat bags of some adorable trick or treaters we know and love. I am also working on some Papertrey template items for Christmas.. Soo out of my zone but FUN! Have a blessed day ya'll!

Here's Golfafella making another appearance. My dad has become a HUGE golfer over the past few years. I am still perplexed by the whole chasing the small white ball around. but I am sure my dad is perplexed by my paper and stamp collection...LOL! Here's a card I created to keep in my stash to send to my dad or one of the kids Padrino's for a manly celebration. Yet another attempt to make masculine cards. If anyone know of manly accessories for a card that don't weigh a ton I am all ears!. The main image is colored with Prismacolor markers and then cut out with my nesties and matted with my perfect layers. The "grass" borders was created with my old stand-by decorative edged scissors. Bet ya haven't used those babies in a while. ROTFL! Glad I kept a few! Well, I hope he inspires you to do something creative today. Have a blessed day!

So.. creating background paper is usually not my thing but this set from Papertrey makes is easy and fun to do. I cut my paper to the size I wanted and randomly stamped the images in a base color then stamped the detail image in the darker color. The main image is also a Papertrey Original, from a stamp set created by none other than they Uber Talented Michelle Wooderson! The picnic basket is stamped on DP. The main image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The ribbon is from Mike's. I hope this inspires your creative instincts! Have a Blessed day! Enjoy the weekend ya'll!

Resist Technique
Ok.. if you don't already know it I am NOT a technique girl. Attending stamp club pulls me out of my comfort zone and enables me to give techniques a try with some supervision.. LOL! I am definitely what you would call technique challenged! But look what I made! I was so impressed with myself! ROTFL! We made this card along with another in my stamp club class. It's so much easier when you have someone there to tell you step by step what to do. I have come to the conclusion that I am a visual girl. I really need to see it to be able to do it so the birth of video tutorials is a blessing for me.. All the supplies of this card are SU! I hope it inspires you to do something creative today! Have a blessed day ya'll.

Vintage in Pink
I think that this is one of my favorite patterned papers. I Love the yellows, pinks and oranges in the baskets DP. That DP is Making Memories. The background DP is from a stack I had that long ago lost it's cover so alas I have no manufacturer for you. The over-sized bling is from Mike's. The main image is colored with Copics. The cardstock used is from HL, Neenah, DCWV, GP and CM. This is just the sort of card that would make my gal pals smile. It's bright and cheery. August was a rough month and several of my RAK girls and another stamp group showered me with cards that really helped to boost my spirit. Don't keep stacking your cards. Send them out into the world to spread smiles. I'm sure we all know someone who's going through a tough time right now. Taking two minutes out of your hectic day to jot a little note to someone you treasure could make all the difference in the world. Life is short, make sure those that mean something to you know how much they mean to you. I hope this card encourages you to do something creative today. May your day be blessed.

I die cut my main image and then matted it with my perfect layers. I cut out my corners with my ticket corner punch from SU! Hope the card inspires you to do something creative today! Here's another of my World Cardmaking Day creations. All the
stamps in this card are Papertrey Ink. But the DP is one of my old favorites from SU! I just adore these baskets. I have lots of baskets in my collection. Every Christmas it's one of my favorite ways to package my baked goodness to give to my husband's soldier's and their families. Baskets are my thing. I love seeing a pile of baskets on sale! But on to my card. As I said before the DP is SU! The cardstock is GP, CM, HL, and DCWV. The polka dotted paper in the main image is HL. The rest of the image is colored in Copics. Vintage with a Copic Splash
Here's another of my World Cardmaking Day Collection. LOL.. I am so in love with this set that I can't even say how much fun I had playing with it. I have a ton of these adorable little baskets stamped on all different kinds of DP and already cut out and sitting on my desk ready to use. It's so much more productive for me to do it that way. I got a dozen cards made in ONE day by having all my pieces ready to pair up and mount. I have these little pre-stamped goodies in a little plastic envelope with my surgical scissors and take it with me when I expect to be waiting (like when I pick up my youngest, or on little unexpected trips to the ER a la two weeks ago.) It's all ready for me to grab and go so that even while I'm waiting I can still get a little crafting done. The paisley DP is Making Memories. The cardstock is Neenah, DCWV, Papertrey, CM and HL. I colored the main image with copics and the DP there is Papertrey (one of my FAVES) . Hope you like it and have a blessed day!

My main image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I then cut it out with my nesties and matted with my perfect layers. I added a prima flower and Papertrey button to accent the image. Vintage Picnic Wishes
When I first saw this set by Michelle Wooderson I HAD to have it. I just LOVED the premise of the set. I am a lover of baskets in general but one that I could change for the season or event sang to me. There will be many many more cards as I made a flurry of them on World Card Making Day. This one has DP from HL. The cardstock is from Neenah, DCWV, HL and Papertrey. The main image was paper pieced and colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. It was die cut and matted using my perfect layers system. I added some of my Papertrey buttons and a scalloped circle to hold the sentiment. Leaving it blank of course for personalizing later. Hope you have a blessed day.

Giant Flowery Bella Oh My!
This Bella with the gigantic flower is too funny. I mean that is one serious flower am I right? She's got a sort of hippy vibe to me. I created her using some DP from Hobby Lobby. The main image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used my nesties to cut her out then matted her with my perfect layers tool. As per my usual I left off the sentiment to be able to personalize it for what I need later. I keep a bunch of sentiments cut out in different shapes that can be quickly added in a hurry. My two boys often come looking for cards as they are about to walk out the door for a party. So in a matter of seconds my card is specialized for whatever event they're going to. Hope your day is blessed.

Have and Eggcellent Birthday!
These Gina K Images remind me of my Grandma's kitchen table. Growing up in Hawaii you are surrounded by foliage and flowers. One of us grandkids were always running into the yard and picking flowers to bring in to my grandma while we were playing. And while it wasn't eggs, there was always a large basket of fruit spilling out onto the table waiting for us to help ourselves. The main image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I cut it out with my nesties then used my perfect layers to mat it. I added some Primas with a stickled center for a border. The DP was in my stash. Hope your day is blessed!

Cucumber Wishes and Margarita Dreams!
Spa day would be so relaxing except for the fact that many expect you to be sans clothing. I'm not sure how relaxed I would be at a spa sans clothing. But I'd definitely be willing to give it a try. I created this card with one of my pals in mind who "does it all", like I do, but for her family. The exception being I do it with the help of my DH and she does it alone. Talk about Superwoman! I am often impressed by her and the lengths she goes to often stretching herself thin and running herself ragged to make sure her kids do all the things that make them well rounded. Since they have different interests she is often running 7 days a week. I created this card to send out to a pal to remind her to pamper herself and relax once in a while to remember her own needs are just as important as those of her kids. Now on to the card. The DP is from SU! The cardstock is GP, DCWV, CM and HL. I used my SU! scalloped border punch and my piercing tool to create the border. I used my nesties to cut out the main image which was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. My Dp layer is inked around the border. Have a Blessed Day.

I used some of my Halloween scraps DP to make the background for this card. The cardstock is Neenah, DCWV, and GP. I used my nesties to cut out the main image. It was colored in with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I then added some dew drops for a little pop. My sentiment was created on my computer and cut out with my SU! punch. Polka Dotted Rainy Day
I think this is one of my favorite cards created with this set so far. I love the look of polka dots. They are near and dear to me. I love how fun and bright these papers are too. The colors are screaming happy to me. The both types of DP are from my scrap stash. The rest of the image is colored with Copics. The image was matted with my perfect layers. Then I punched the border with my SU! scalloped border punch. I then used my Papertrey set to stamp the thank you and flower border. I used stickles to pop the centers of my border flowers. I added the ribbon detail then I mounted everything onto my card and added the Prima flowers to the corner for extra wow! Hope you love this card as much as I do.

Veggie Bella Wishes
Isn't she just a doll! I wish I looked that cute in a pair of overalls. I created this card with a fall harvest theme in mind. As we have seen a day or two of below 80 degrees here in San Antonio I find myself with Thanksgiving on my mind. How cute would she be on a little gift box to give out after thanksgiving as a thank you to your guests. Here I made her into a card to send to my far away friends who I won't get to celebrate with this Thanksgiving. As always I am reminded of all that I am able to be thankful for and in the friends department I am truly blessed. I try very hard to make sure my closest friends know how much they are treasured. Thanksgiving seems to be a fitting time to do that.. not to mention it being on of my best gal pals birthday.. Hope you have a blessed day!

A good friend of mine is always the one I entrust to capture our photos during large gatherings at my house. I always seem to find myself busy entertaining my guests and getting the food prepared. Before this dear friend came along I would find myself taking photos at the end of the night and missing the event. I created this card to send to her after our next event to let her know that I am so thankful she does this for me. The DP is from HL. The cardstock is GP, DCWV, and CM. I colored my main image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol the cut it out with my nesties. I then used my perfect layers to mat the image. The sentiment was created on my computer and then cut out with my SU! punch. The ribbon is from Mike's. Hope you have a blessed day.

More hues of blue to brighten your day. I think maybe it comes from having two sons but I love the color blue in all shades. I especially love to pair it with my browns. Papertrey's Dark Chocolate ink is one of my most favorite to use. The DP is from DCWV's Retro Pack. The cardstock is from HL, Neenah, CM, and DCWV. The main image is cut then matted using my perfect layers tool. I then used my SU! punch to scallop the bottom of the back layer and took my piecing tool to create the tiny holes. My main image is paper pieced and the rest is colored with Copics. Hope you like her as much as I do.

Flying by with Thoughts of You!
So I am FINALLY posting first thing in the morning. Hopefully I can get back into that early post mode. This adorable Riley is one of my favorites. I love being able to personalize him. I used my Papertrey Anniversary set for this one. I LOVE those too. They come with so many great little sayings that complete the front of your cards and they are in classic fonts that work perfectly for both masculine and feminine cards. This Riley is definitely the largest one I have and commands your attention on a card. It's hard to see here but I swirled on some extra clouds with my chalk. The dew drops in the corner add a little something something to it. I used my HL DP for the background. The cardstock is Neenah, GP and DCWV. I used my SU! punch to make the border. My image was colored with Copics all except for the propeller which I colored with some Prang Markers I happened upon in Office Depot. Hope you like it as much as I do. Have a blessed day and thanks so much for visiting me here today!

Polar Bear Love!
This little Polar Bear is just too cute. I am again continuing to try and add to my cache of masculine cards and this is another result of that endeavor. I find it so much harder to accessorize my masculine cards so I tend to add a few layers and leave it at that, but if you have ANY suggestions let me know. I would LOVE to hear them. As usual I've left off the sentiment to be able to personalize this little cutie. The DP was in my scrap box. The cardstock is Neenah, DCWV and CM. Although the paisley seems a little feminine, I just LOVE the look of it. Hope you have a blessed day..

A Day Wrapped in Happiness!
Here's my rainy day gal gain.. Are you so very tired of seeing her yet. I just can't get enough of her.. But I promise to give you some variety in between peeks at her. She's another product of my Kansas Road Trip. The DP is from my stash. The cardstock is CM, HL, Neenah, and DCWV. The main image DP is from HL. The sentiment was stamped from one of my Papertrey sets. The bling in the corners are Dew Drops. I used my SU! punch to clip the edges. My main image was colored with copics and then cut out with my Nesties. Hope you like her..

Rainy Days in Blue..
Rain Rain Rain!!! Yeah.. it's FINALLY raining here. I can't believe we've had real measurable rain this week. We have good chances for more rain the rest of the week. Whoopee! So I thought in honor of these desperately needed rain days I would give you this Rainy Day in Blue card.. The DP is from HL. The cardstock is Neenah, CM and HL. I used my perfect layers to mat my main image and added the strips of solid paper for color. The main image is paper pieced with HL patterned paper. The rest of the image is colored with my Copics.. Happy Thursday everyone. Sorry my post is late.. These headaches are really slowing me down. Hope my doctor's appointment next week gives some answers. Have a blessed day everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Give a Turtle Some Love!
Isn't this little turtle too cute! I love the look of concentration on his face as he glides on his board.. As I've said before.. I am always trying to add masculine themed cards to my stash.. this is another attempt at doing just that. I love the bright summery colors too. The DP is some that I had in my scrap stash. The Cardstock is CM, HL, and DCWV. I used my nesties to cut out the main image. I colored it in with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also used my perfect layers to mat the main image and some background layers. Have a HAPPY MONDAY!!
