Polka Dotted Rainy Day Blues..

JulyCraftiness 009

Here's another one of my rainy day girls! Isn't she the cutest? Maybe my obsession with rain this year has something to do with my love of this set.. hmmm I wonder what Freud would say? LOL.. My main image is paper pieced with DCWV paper. the rest of the image is colored in with my Copics. Aren't her boots adorable? The main image is then matted on DCWV and shimmery silver cardstock. I added the dark chocolate cardstock to make it pop off the HL DP. Hope you like her.. Have a blessed day!

Have and Eggcellent Birthday!

JulyCraftiness 004

These Gina K Images remind me of my Grandma's kitchen table. Growing up in Hawaii you are surrounded by foliage and flowers. One of us grandkids were always running into the yard and picking flowers to bring in to my grandma while we were playing. And while it wasn't eggs, there was always a large basket of fruit spilling out onto the table waiting for us to help ourselves. The main image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I cut it out with my nesties then used my perfect layers to mat it. I added some Primas with a stickled center for a border. The DP was in my stash. Hope your day is blessed!

Cucumber Wishes and Margarita Dreams!

JulyCraftiness 011

Spa day would be so relaxing except for the fact that many expect you to be sans clothing. I'm not sure how relaxed I would be at a spa sans clothing. But I'd definitely be willing to give it a try. I created this card with one of my pals in mind who "does it all", like I do, but for her family. The exception being I do it with the help of my DH and she does it alone. Talk about Superwoman! I am often impressed by her and the lengths she goes to often stretching herself thin and running herself ragged to make sure her kids do all the things that make them well rounded. Since they have different interests she is often running 7 days a week. I created this card to send out to a pal to remind her to pamper herself and relax once in a while to remember her own needs are just as important as those of her kids. Now on to the card. The DP is from SU! The cardstock is GP, DCWV, CM and HL. I used my SU! scalloped border punch and my piercing tool to create the border. I used my nesties to cut out the main image which was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. My Dp layer is inked around the border. Have a Blessed Day.

Monkey Fabulous!!!

JulyCraftiness 021

Give a little monkey some love won't ya! These little Chngito's are so cute. I made this card with my Halloween loving gal pal in mind. She is crazy for Halloween like I'm crazy for Christmas. I used some of my Halloween scraps DP to make the background for this card. The cardstock is Neenah, DCWV, and GP. I used my nesties to cut out the main image. It was colored in with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I then added some dew drops for a little pop. My sentiment was created on my computer and cut out with my SU! punch. Hope he swings your way and makes you smile.

Polka Dotted Rainy Day

JulyCraftiness 001

I think this is one of my favorite cards created with this set so far. I love the look of polka dots. They are near and dear to me. I love how fun and bright these papers are too. The colors are screaming happy to me. The both types of DP are from my scrap stash. The rest of the image is colored with Copics. The image was matted with my perfect layers. Then I punched the border with my SU! scalloped border punch. I then used my Papertrey set to stamp the thank you and flower border. I used stickles to pop the centers of my border flowers. I added the ribbon detail then I mounted everything onto my card and added the Prima flowers to the corner for extra wow! Hope you love this card as much as I do.

Veggie Bella Wishes

JulyCraftiness 008

Isn't she just a doll! I wish I looked that cute in a pair of overalls. I created this card with a fall harvest theme in mind. As we have seen a day or two of below 80 degrees here in San Antonio I find myself with Thanksgiving on my mind. How cute would she be on a little gift box to give out after thanksgiving as a thank you to your guests. Here I made her into a card to send to my far away friends who I won't get to celebrate with this Thanksgiving. As always I am reminded of all that I am able to be thankful for and in the friends department I am truly blessed. I try very hard to make sure my closest friends know how much they are treasured. Thanksgiving seems to be a fitting time to do that.. not to mention it being on of my best gal pals birthday.. Hope you have a blessed day!

You're Delightful!!!

JulyCraftiness 022

A good friend of mine is always the one I entrust to capture our photos during large gatherings at my house. I always seem to find myself busy entertaining my guests and getting the food prepared. Before this dear friend came along I would find myself taking photos at the end of the night and missing the event. I created this card to send to her after our next event to let her know that I am so thankful she does this for me. The DP is from HL. The cardstock is GP, DCWV, and CM. I colored my main image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol the cut it out with my nesties. I then used my perfect layers to mat the image. The sentiment was created on my computer and then cut out with my SU! punch. The ribbon is from Mike's. Hope you have a blessed day.

She is an ultra talented designer over at Gina K Designs. He little animals have the cutest faces. The DP I used was in my scrap stash. I used a little cinnamon colored paper to punch up my focal point. My cute bear is matted with a little silver. I hope you like him as much as I did when I got him. It's suppose to rain most of today here (yipee!!) so I am planning on getting a little crafting done. Have a blessed day ladies!

Can a Moose Get Some Love?

JulyCraftiness 007

Sorry for the late post. It's been quite a hectic day. Here's another adorable Riley. This is the very first Riley I ever laid eyes on and I have to say it was love at first sight. I thought he was just the cutest sitting there with his coffee and cupcake. Here's another more masculine looking card that I am adding to my stash. The DP was in my scrap pile. The cardstock was HL, DCWV and GP. My main image was colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I hope you like him as much as I do..

Thinking of You in blues..

JulyCraftiness 005 More hues of blue to brighten your day. I think maybe it comes from having two sons but I love the color blue in all shades.  I especially love to pair it with my browns. Papertrey's Dark Chocolate ink is one of my most favorite to use. The DP is from DCWV's Retro Pack. The cardstock is from HL, Neenah, CM, and DCWV. The main image is cut then matted using my perfect layers tool. I then used my SU! punch to scallop the bottom of the back layer and took my piecing tool to create the tiny holes. My main image is paper pieced and the rest is colored with Copics. Hope you like her as much as I do.

Flying by with Thoughts of You!

JulyCraftiness 017 So I am FINALLY posting first thing in the morning. Hopefully I can get back into that early post mode. This adorable Riley is one of my favorites. I love being able to personalize him. I used my Papertrey Anniversary set for this one. I LOVE those too. They come with so many great little sayings that complete the front of your cards and they are in classic fonts that work perfectly for both masculine and feminine cards. This Riley is definitely the largest one I have and commands your attention on a card. It's hard to see here but I swirled on some extra clouds with my chalk. The dew drops in the corner add a little something something to it. I used my HL DP for the background. The cardstock is Neenah, GP and DCWV. I used my SU! punch to make the border. My image was colored with Copics all except for the propeller which I colored with some Prang Markers I happened upon in Office Depot. Hope you like it as much as I do. Have a blessed day and thanks so much for visiting me here today!

Polar Bear Love!

JulyCraftiness 014

This little Polar Bear is just too cute. I am again continuing to try and add to my cache of masculine cards and this is another result of that endeavor. I find it so much harder to accessorize my masculine cards so I tend to add a few layers and leave it at that, but if you have ANY suggestions let me know. I would LOVE to hear them. As usual I've left off the sentiment to be able to personalize this little cutie. The DP was in my scrap box. The cardstock is Neenah, DCWV and CM. Although the paisley seems a little feminine, I just LOVE the look of it. Hope you have a blessed day..

JulyCraftiness 012

Isn't she lovely? I am having so much fun with this set from MFT.. One day I may even get around to adding the umbrella and raindrops that came with her.. LOL.. I just love how she looks when you paper piece her. This is one of my most favorite versions of her yet.. I Love the black white and red combo. The adhesive pearls are from HL. The DP from the piecing is from my scrap stash. I used copics and Prismacolor markers to color in the rest of the image that wasn't pieced. Cast Your Cares Unto the Lord...

JulyCraftiness 010

As many of you know I am the wife of an active duty soldier who works for the Warrior Transition Unit here at Brook Army Medical Center. We are fortunate to be a part of a unit with such a noble cause. My husband's unit is responsible for the care of those wounded or stricken with illness while serving our nation. I say fortunate because we have been privileged to meet and offer assistance to dozens of wounded or ill soldier's. We will probably never know a more noble cause. But sometimes this work can be mentally exhausting. Sometimes its difficult to see those struggling to recover. I created this card for just that purpose. Support for someone struggling to do the task before them to offer comfort and assurance that there is a greater power that walks with us on our journey. So if you feel the weight of something remember this passage from the bible.. "Cast your cares unto the Lord and He will sustain you." A little note of thanks to all of you who support me.. you help me persevere through the tough times with your lovely, uplifting comments.

Lime Green Polar Bear..

JulyCraftiness 012

As I've said before I am constantly trying to build my cache of masculine cards.. I try to keep them simple because my boys have teased me about my froo-froo cards.. They say guys don't want frilly cards.. funny yes, frilly NO! Although I must say all teh girls they know LOVE the frilly cards and monogrammed stuff I make! I especially enjoy making things for my friend's daughters. LOTS of fun!! But I digress.. Anyway here's my Tuesday post.. better late than never. I've started my Christmas Projects and they are taking up a LARGE portion of my time right now so I'm sorry about the late post. The DP is some scrap that I had in my stash and the cardstock is DCWV, CM and GP. The image is from a Melanie Muenchinger Set over at Gina K Designs. Melanie has some AWESOME sets you really should check her out. If you love animals she's definitely got the CUTEST! BTW I left it without a sentiment on purpose so that I could customize it when I needed it.
