I can't even tell you how much I LOVE this Papertrey set (Out on a Limb). I think it has to be one of my favorites. The quotes that come with it can apply to any number of things. You can change the feel of this set just by changing the ink color you use. I made these to send to the gals in Alabama who have been soo supportive of my little endeavor (thanks Buckmaster group!)

The papertrey sentiments set, Mixed Messages is so amazingly versitile. Nicole chooses such beautiful fonts and mixes feminine fonts with masculine ones and she does it beautifully. You get so much milage out of these sentiments. It's a MUST HAVE in your stamp collection. Look What I Made!!!!!!!!!

I was looking through my alterables for something to hold all my colored pencils and watercolor pencils and I found this. I took an old dryel container (it's cardboard) and decoupaged it with DP from Hobby Lobby. I then used PTI's Beautiful Blooms and an alphabet (co. unknown) on Chocolate Chip and Pink Paper. Inks used were Versamagic: Petunia Pink Gingerbread, Brilliance Pink and Versamark. I used redline tape to adhere everything together. I hot glued a divider made of cardboard to make two chambers, one for my regular CP and the other for watercolors and Voila!!!

Celebrate Your Inner Princess

I just LOVE this stamp but I don't know of anyone getting married any time soon so when I was looking through my stamp collection and happened upon this set I pulled it out to play with it. I was trying to think of a different way to use this stamp. Ideas I came up with are... Quincinera (if your hispanic you know,if not it's a celebration of a young womans 15th birthday) or sweet sixteen card. Anyway I don't know too many 15 year old Quincinera celebrants so I thought why not a birthday card. It's a princess dress!! Somewhere I saw the phrase Celebrate Your Inner Princess. PERFECT for this card! I keep a pencil and post it note stack next to my computer and if I see a cute or catchy phrase I write it down. I can't afford all the sets with all the FAB saying to I write down the ones that I love and then type them into a Microsoft Word document where I am able to change size, font and even color and I punch them out with my slot punch or various other punches or dies. The slot punch tag above is just one of these.

Lil Notebook

This idea has been floating around SCS for a while but I wasn't sure where to go to get these cut. My friend Dawn(her blog is in my Blogs I Stalk list) was having hers cut at Staples, but, as we have no staples near to us this was a problem for me. I recently found out at SCS that Office Depot will cut these notebooks for you. These are the regular memo sized notebooks cut in half. Perfect for a grocery list or to jot down a little note. I am putting together gift bags with the notebook, chocolate and post-it holder and pen as gifts for my sons teachers for V-Day. Keep watching for photos.

Valentine Bookmarks

These were made for my niece to attach to the outside of her Valentine's for her classmates. They are all part of a Valentine package I am sending to her and her mom. I used LSS Cardstock and Marvy Scalloped punches. The inks used were Versamagic: Mango Madness, Pink Petunia, Sea Breeze, and Gingerbread. The stamps used were SU! Sweet on You and Papertrey from PTI.

Valentine Purse

This is a little gift for my niece. It's a purse created from a tutorial at Nicole Heady's (Papertrey Lady) blog. The purse contains 10 special valentines for her best girlfriends. Hopefully she likes it.

Peanut Butter Treat

This is the little yummy for my youngest son for Valentine's Day. I saw this idea on SCS you can find it there (Sing n' Stamp) or at her blog www.hemidemisemiquaver@wordpress .com. I fell in love with it and immediately went running to dig out one of my Papertrey boxes that I've been hoarding in my closet. ( I know they would come in handy someday). I used red and gold wrapped Resse's Peanut Butter Cups. I don't have any measurements on the tray I made to slide inside. I just measured the box and took off 1/16 of an inch to compensate for the creases of the box. I arranged the cups all in the right direction so that you could read what was stamped on the PB cups. Have fun putting this together. Link me to any that you create like this. I would love to see your creations.

Valentine Treats

I made this fun treat box for my oldest son. I found this FAB box idea at Melanie Meunchingers blog. You can click on her name in my blog roll to get there. I used my Stampin Up Love Matters set and VersaChalk Ink in Red Magic and Sea Breeze. The ribbon is from Mike's $1 spot. The box is from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the entire back and focal point in the front. The flower brads are Making Memories(?). I stuffed it with Vanilla flavored tootsie rolls (one of his favs) The boxes are SUPER easy to make and are adorable.

Get Well

I needed to build up my card stash and wanted to create clean and simple designs that would work for either men or women. This is one of 3 cards I did only changing the color of the ink, stickles and the sentiment. I think that next time I'll emboss the vanilla background. These were also completed with SC158 in mind. I just flipped the layout to a horizontal format.

Kickstand Cards

I am having such a blast making these kickstand cards. I have never tried them before so these are new territory for me. I made these for the splitcoaststampers.com Sketch card challenge (SC158, kickstand are the keywords to search for to see all the FAB creations for this challenge. The first card is made with Papertrey stamps, PP is making memories,the cardstock is from Mike's, the Prima came from my Target and of course my nestabilities and I can't forget the large pink rhinestone from Mike's in the center. The second card is a Bella image. It's RetailFellaBella. The PP is Anna Griffith, the cardstock is from Hobby Lobby. I used my nestabilities to cut the image and scalloped circle out. Then colored with Copics, Zig and Versabrush. The phrase says..

Splitcoast Challenge

Every once in a while I seem to get in a rut style wise with my cards. When I get that way I always turn to splitcoast and their challenges to help me through. These three cards were completed as part of the SC157 sketch challenge. This is my first try at the sketch challenge. I love bling so I had to add a little rhinestone or sticles here and there. BUSY BUSY BUSY

It feels like I haven't posted in years but I have a good reason. At Christmas I am always consumed with activities that I hold dear. I bake cookies for all our neighbors and friends and last year we added the units that my husband oversees in his job at BAMC. This year we baked over 2400 cookies ALL FROM SCRATCH. We also volunteer for the childrens Christmas party at the hospital and we have the annual holiday ball to attend. As if that weren't enough I was bound and determined that all the cards we sent out (80 plus) would be made by me. TA DA mission accomplished. The cookies were baked, parties attended, cards handmade and sent, and all presents wrappped by December 23rd. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I work my fingers to the bone but I LOVE IT all. Not bad for a months work. We also celebrate Three Kings Day in January so onward to the New Year we go. This year has been one filled with blessings and trials but we are so fortunate to have those blessings far outweigh the trials. I am looking forward to creating new and beautiful things in the coming year and seeing everyone out there do the same. Wishing you all peace, love, joy and creativity in the coming year.

This one I totally cased from Papertrey. I saw it and fell in love with it. Isn't it gorgeous!!

This card was made with the Snowflake Serenade set from Papertrey Ink. Do you love this or what!!! The background is embossed with the snowflake cuttlebug folder. There are also some stickles on the snowflake and Peace.

These are more sets I made for customers... Hopefully they'll love them and keep the orders coming.. I love making these and get such a feeling of accomplishment when I see all those sets completed. FUN FUN FUN...

Close Up Shots

These photos are close up shots of the earlier overall shot. Keep watch for more close ups. These notebooks are the 5x8 size covered with printed paper from the paper store. The post it note holders are covered in either solid or printed paper and decorated with scalloped punches and some stamping. The bugget boxes hold 4 nuggets, they are wrapped with ribbon or raffia and a stamped tag is tied on to them.

Dia de los Reyes

These were made as a special request for my Aunt who lives in Puerto Rico. We celebrate both Christmas and Three Kings Day ( January 6th) in our family.

CRAZY BUSY!!

This is what has kept me so busy for the last week that I haven't had time to post. They are a decorated notepad, pen, post it note holder and a decorated chocolate nugget box. All are gift wrapped in cellophane and ready for those quick holiday gifts... I am working on a few more still but wanted to post these before I sent them off in the mail.
