Orange you loving Riley and Sophie?

JulyCraftiness 005

I know I am!! They are soo adorable. There's something about them that just speaks to me.. I never was a big fan of moose but when I saw these two it was love at first sight. I made this bright summer card with all the sunshine we've been having in mind. We haven't had substantial rain in MONTHS.. It's been sunny and smokin' HOT for weeks.  But I digress.. My main image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I cut it out with my nesties and matted with my perfect layers. The DP is sparkly and I had it in my scraps stash..

Did I at Least get the Month Right?

JulyCraftiness 003

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cool Caribbean cardstock. I have hoarded it for a LONG time now. I use it on occasion.. It was a perfect match with this DP I found in my stash. The main image is paper pieced and colored with Copics.  I cut out my main image with my trimmer. Then matted it with my Perfect Layers. The sentiment I created on my computer and trimmed with my paper trimmer and scissors. I just LOVE this image.. It's an MFT classic. Hope you like her..

JulyCraftiness 001

Here's my entry in last week's Stamping Bella contest.  I ADORE this little fairy.. she is so awesome. I Love her sweet little face and being able to sparkle her wings.. I combined her with my Papertrey Out on a Limb. I added stickles and Papertrey buttons to complete the look. The centers of the flowers are chocolate colored stickles YUM! The corners of the main image are binged up with jewels. She's colored with Copics. I cut her out with my nesties and matted with perfect layers. Hope you like her.. She's going to a friend for her birthday once I add the sentiment.

That's Some Dress...

JulyCraftiness 012

Isn't it tough.. Can you imagine maneuvering in that dress? I know I can't.. Never been a big dress kinda girl.. I got this image in a swap and wanted to keep the spirit of her while trimming it down so I manage to keep part of the purse and topiary. She's adorable though and I thought I'd dress her up even more by adding some stickles to her hair! She sparkles IRL.. looks like she has a head full of jewels. The DP is some of my FAVORITE! I have a few sheets left in my stash.. The cardstock is GP, HL, DCWV and CM. I used stickles, and dew drops, and some SU! punches to accessorize my card. My image is color in Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I also used my nesties to cut out the image and my perfect layers to get them just right!

Not bossy.. I Just Have Better Ideas!!

JulyCraftiness 015

What do ya think,  does this bella have the spunk for this phrase? I think she is perfect for it. She has the right amount of attitude to pull it off. The DP I got from Hobby Lobby and the cardstock is GP and CM. My main image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. She's more colorful IRL. I used my nesties to cut her out and my perfect layers to mat her. I used my Copics on her skin though.. I just like the look of Copics for skin. I am not a fan of the look I get with the pencils and skin.. which is probably user error on my part. Hope you like her and that your Monday is happy!

CPS 125 Inspiration..

JulyCraftiness 002

Here's my entry of the CPS sketch.. I LOVE this paper by S.E.I.. It just speaks to me.. I used my Curlz Monogram Set by Just Rite Stampers and my Limitless Labels set from Papertrey. The DP came in a pack of S.E.I. papers that I got at Mike's. I found these CPS challenges over at one of my FAVORITE places.. the JustRite Stampers blog.. you can link to it in my blog roll... If you are stuck in a rut check them out HERE! It's so great to pick sketch from the bazillions they have three and play with it. I have to admit I get into ruts when I'm card making and I now have a new best friend to help me out of them.. This place is seriously great.. check it out!

Miss Bossy Forgot???

JulyCraftiness 016

Aren't these Elzybells adorable! I call her Miss Bossy.. But it's that annoyed look on her face that cracks me up.. I created this for a swap with some sweet girls in my group. I find that it's necessary for me to keep a few of these cards on hand because I can sometimes forget things.. I wanted to keep her simple as I was mass producing right around graduation so I needed to get it done but still wanted to make her adorable.. The dot on her chest is a stickle as is the barrette in her hair. She's cut out with Nesties as is her mat. The DP is Hobby Lobby..

Get Well with Papertrey and MFT...

JulyCraftiness 006

Here's another card with my very own background paper design. I just LOVE this color combo. I am definitely a pink girl.. I think one of my favorite shades is Papertrey's Berry Sorbet but Raspberry Fizz comes in a close second.. It's difficult to see but the background paper has some bling added to it.. I added some stickles to the flower centers. It's easier to see the sparkle of the boots (also stickles). I used my nesties, perfect layers and Copics to complete my main image. The paper pieced DP is Making Memories. Hope you like her as much as I do..

Every Good and Perfect Gift..

JulyCraftiness 017

Every good and perfect gift is a heartfelt sentiment for me. I am often in awe of the blessings bestowed upon me. I am blessed with healthy, loving parents. I am blessing with a husband that was made just for me. I often remember the lines from a movies where the bride tells the groom that he is an amazing reflection of God's love for her.  I am blessed with two sons who are bright, healthy and loving. I am blessed with my health and my faith and of course my stamps :)  When I stop to think about all the blessing bestowed upon me I realize just how lucky I am. I completed this card for the Divine Design Challenge.. I hope you like it..

Thinking of You with MFT Love...

JulyCraftiness 008

This is another MFT creation that I cut out while we were driving to Kansas.. I'm not sure I've talked about it before but I am a stages stamper.. I normally so don't work on a card from start to finish.. I stamp my images and cut them out one day then if I am running errands I take my clipboard filled with my Copics and a stack of images to color so that while I am waiting for the kids at practice or the docs office I am coloring.. Later when I have a chance I choose a background to go with my colored image and build my card from there.. This is one such creation. Before we left for Kansas I stamped a ton of these image on different DP kept them in a plastic envie with my scissors to cut out on the drive. When I was done cutting them out I placed them back in the same envie for the trip home.  The DP is again from my stash of DCWV papers.. I LOVED this pack and bought two of them from Joann's online when they were on sale. The sentiment and flower border are from the Papertrey Around and About set.. isn't it TOO CUTE!!!! I also used my  SU! scalloped punch edger to do the border. Hope you like her... I think she's cheery I love the colors.. Not sure if you can see it but there sparkle in her raincoat and the doggie's coat is colored with my Spica pens.. There are a few stickles there in the corners too..

I Like Your Style...

JulyCraftiness 018

While I am not a fashionista.. this bella makes you want to be! She is too cute! I used her to make a card celebrating who someone is.. I think all to often we get caught up in who we think we should be.. I know a lot of SAHM's who get caught up in being the perfect mom and wife (me included.. inside secret my best pals call me Martha).. and sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves I created this card as a little encouragement to a friend who tends to be to hard on herself.. Just a little compliment to the great woman I think she is...

Polka Dotted Thoughts of You..

JulyCraftiness 003

The background of this card was made using the Guidelines 2 Set from Papertrey.. As you all know my oldest son graduated this year and that came with lots of extra expenses so it was quite a while after this set came out that I was able to get it.. I just LOVE it.. It makes such GREAT background papers.. LMK what you think about this one.. not sure if I should have gone with different colors or not.. I LOVE that Raspberry Fizz color and use it every time I get a chance. The main image is again the Rainy Day Set from MFT. She is paper pierced from my scrap stash.. The boots are colored with my Spica's and just sparkle IRL. The sentiment is again from the Papertrey Around and About Set.  Hope you like this one..

Birthday Wishes in a Bikini..

JulyCraftiness 011

This card was made for a friends sweet little girl of a good friend that requested it of me when we visited her a few days ago.. She was so cute.. she said " I'm kinda embarrassed to ask you this but can you make me a card for my sister's birthday?? I told her not to be embarrassed that I would love to make her one and to ask whenever she needs one.. She gave me colors and I came up with this.. Her sister is a sweet young lady celebrating her 15th birthday this year..

Get Well MFT Style..

JulyCraftiness 009

The background was made with one of my favorite Papertrey sets. It's just perfect for making background papers. My main image is paper pieced and colored in with Copics and Prismacolor Markers. I used the around and about set from Papertrey to add a sentiment. The main image is of course from MFT.. Black and white with a splash of colors really speaks to me.. Hope you like her...

Cheers To You!

JulyCraftiness 019

Isn't Winobella adorable!! I just think she's too cute! I created this card with my wine drinking gals in mind.. Thought is would make a great card for my friend whose DH is in Iraq right now.. Thought I'd send it along with a little encouragement for her to hang in a little longer. The Cheers to You sentiment is to celebrate the AMAZING job she's doing holding things down on the home front while he's been away.. She's colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I think she's going to love her..

Get Well Wishes From Your MFT Friend..

JulyCraftiness 007

MFT's Rainy Day wishes combined with the around and about sentiment from my Papertrey set makes a super cute card don't ya think? I am trying to branch out and use more layers and also add more details to my card. The scalloped edge with the piercing. The sparkly detail added to the flowers is another the contrasting piece of cardstock in the background are all things I would never have added on the same card before but.. I am evolving.. The DP I got at Hobby Lobby. The cardstock is from DCWV, HL, and Neenah. The accessories I used were my nesties, copics, perfect layers, SU!  scalloped punch, Piercing Tool, and stickles. Let me know what you think...

You're The Best...

JulyCraftiness 020

A few weeks ago I participated in a Stamping Bella images swap.. this is one of the images I received.. Isn't she just groovy?  What a cute image.. I love the butterfly flying by her hand. I used some DP from my stash that I've had for years now.. I'm trying to use up my stash that I've hoarded. I am trying to use what I have to spend less on stuff and divert what I can spend to stamps... Hope you like her as much as I do..

Look to the Lord...

JulyCraftiness 010

Chronicles 16:11.. Look to the Lord and His strength seek His face always..

Seems like a fitting sentiment for this rainy day girl. when times  Faith is a sustaining entity in our lives and I try to be ever mindful that I can seek His guidance when I need Him. We took a little trip last week to Kansas to visit friends stationed at Ft. Riley, (I went to middle school there), I got to show my kids the Catholic School I attended while I live there as a tween.. It brought back so many memories of Friday mass with the school, and the sweetest Priest I had ever known.. Father Kramer and the strictest nun.. Sister Mary Francis:) They are some of the people (aside from my parents) who helped nurture my faith.. A Faith I treasure today.. I hope you like the card.. I created for a friend whose having a tough time right now.. Specs are below..

Card Specs:

DP: Scrap Stash

Cardstock: HL, Neenah, DCWV

Stamps: MFT, Papertrey Ink

Jumpin for Joy!!

MarchCraftiness 021

I'm not sure if I like how this card actually turned out.. There are times when I am creating a card that I have a vision in my head.. but somewhere between my head and the completion of the card something gets lost in translation.. I think that might have happened here. I am always trying to find a way to add more masculine cards to my reserve and this was one such attempt. I left the sentiment off purposefully so I could add whichever sentiment I need at the time.. LKM what you think..

Card Specs:

DP: Clearance Rack at HL

Cardstock: HL, CM, GP, DCWV

Stamps: Gina K Designs

Accessories: Nesties, Perfect Layers, Staz On Ink

MFT Birthday Wishes

MarchCraftiness 004

As I've said before I am a member of the Birthday RAK club over at SCS.. It is so much fun to send out the cards you make to other people who will appreciate them.. Fellow SCSers are always so sweet and gracious when you send them cards. I almost always receive a thank you of some kind from my fellow card makers.. I encourage you all to do the same if you are SCS members.. It's much more thrilling to send them out than it is to pile them up in your crafting space.. Another thing I have in the works is to donate some cards to the wounded warrior facility here in San Antonio.. DH works with the wounded warrior battalion and I am looking into donating a large bunch of cards to the Warrior and Family Support Center.. I figure that they can use them to keep in touch with family and friends while they're here getting care.  Now on to my card...

This card was made for my RAK pile and has already been sent to it's new home.. The recipient very kindly sent me a thank you. The DP is from HL. The image is of course MFT. I colored it with my colored pencils and gamsol.. still one of my FAVE techniques.. and the sentiment was created on my computer and stamped with my SU! punch. Hope you enjoy them as much as the recipient did..

Simply Sweet

MarchCraftiness 007

I love that these gals at MFT have no faces.. you can tailor her to fit ANYONE just by adjusting the skin tone... How FABULOUS  is that? I love to match my image colors with the DP I use. Here I used some leftover DP from my scrap stash.. A little bling is always a good thing so I added some to the chair's "fabric" I trimmed and matted my image with my perfect layers and hand cut my sentiment. Hope you like it...
