Pink and Brown Bella Birthday

Bella8

Is there a more perfect Bella to celebrate a birthday?? I don't think so. IMHO! If you haven't already guessed I like clean lines and not a lot of embellies. You'll be seeing a lot of her over the next few days. I belong the the Birthday RAK Committee so I am created a bunch of different ones in anticipation of my March Birthday's list.  The sentiment I created on my computer. My card specs are below.

PJ Riley's Feel Better Wish

PJ Riley (2)

My kids always seem perkier after they get over an illness even more so if it's lasted a few days. Must be all that pent up energy they accumulate while laying on my couch... As a member of the RAK group on Splitcoast I am regularly sending cards to sick little ones. I thought this Riley was perfect for that very thing. What do sick little ones spend their time in??? PJ's of course so hence PJ Riley or Sophie depending on how you color her/him. The card specs are below.

Stamps: Hanna Stamps and Papertrey

Soldier's Just Blessed..

CardsJanuary 002

BAD BAD BLOGGER!!! Mea culpa from me today.. I have been so ridiculously busy this past 5 days that I haven't had but for a minute or two in front of my computer to check email. Our youngest son competed this past weekend in an Orienteering Challenge and our oldest is getting competition ready with his Color Guard Team so I have been running around like crazy with them and errands and chores I've been putting off. They finally all caught up with me and were waiting outside my bedroom door when I woke up last Thursday. With DS graduating in June things are starting to kick into high gear. We have gotten several calls from family and friends making the trek to watch him walk. I am however getting more nervous as we get closer. I think I may be able to single handedly end the drought here in South Texas with the river of tears I will shed in the coming months and on the day itself. Anyway.. here's my card details.. I'll be doing my best to do better this week.

DH being Active Duty military I had to have this set as soon as I  saw it. Since I missed out on Godspeed and can never find it anywhere for a reasonable price  this was the next best thing. The main image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  We have several friends who are deployed and I made several of these to send to them. The card specs are below.

Card Specs:

Stamps: SU!, Papertrey

DP: Hobby Lobby

Cardstock: GP, HL, CM

Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Nesties, Perfect Layers

Bella's Get Well Umbrella Wishes

Bella13

Another fabulous Bella! I love these colors. I am definitely a pink and brown girl. Thought I'd throw in a little tangerine to brighten things up. I am a member of the RAK group so I constantly find myself  in need of Get Well or Feel Better Cards. I am also experimenting with adding lots of layers to my cards. I am attempting to expand my look. I was using card sketches and challenges to do that and it was going pretty well until the holidays and my Papa's illness became the priority. Now that things are settling down I am going to attempt more challenges. That being said, my card specs are below.

Card Specs:

Stamps: Umbrellabella, Papertrey 1st Anniversary Set

Cardstock: HL, GP, DCWV

Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Perfect Layers, Mike's Ribbon

Altoid First Aid Kit

CardsJanuary 001

This is one of those little Altoid tins that I converted into a mini first aid kit for my purse. Being the mom of two VERY active boys I can say that we have survived our fair share of, scrapes, bruises, and gashes. I found it very prudent to keep band-aids and triple antibiotic on hand but found it getting messed up in my purse, you know wrappers coming off the band-aids, not to mention the ruined purse because some little smarty  didn't put the cap back on the triple antibiotic well. So when I noticed the game and kit ideas made with these little cute tins  my purse disaster came to mind. Enclosed in this tin are assorted band-aids and triple antibiotic along with some little packs of Tylenol and Motrin. Project specs are below.

Project Specs:

Stamps: Just Rite Monogram Stamper, Papertrey Simple Alphabet

DP: DCWV

Cardstock: GP, HL

Ink: Papertrey Dark Chocolate

Accessories: Altoid Tin, Punches, Primas, Stickles

Riley's Just Because

CardsJanuary 005

I created this Riley card to send to a special friend who finds himself far away from home right now. He's a fishing fan so I thought this Riley was perfect. The just because sentiment came from Papertrey's Anniversary set from last year. The DP was in my scraps box so I can't provide you with a manufacturer. The CS is from HL. The main image was colored with Copics and cut out with my Nesties as was my tag. The ink for the sentiment is SU!The bling is from Mike's and the scalloped edging on the strip is from my SU! Punch.

My Favorite Riley!

CardsJanuary 007

OK... You have heard me go on and on before about how CUTE Riley is right.. but this Riley is the ULTIMATE cutie. I cannot tell you how long I have waited to get this adorable Riley into my inky hands. He's been sold out since he came out. But hee hee hee I've got him now!! Don't you just wanna cuddle him. He's so snuggable as my son used to say when he was little. The sentiment was left off so I could add one later to match whatever event I was using the card for..

"Card Deets"

DP is from Hobby Lobby.

The cardstock is GP, DCWV CM, and Hobby Lobby.

I used my nesties to cut out the main image and matted with my perfect layers. Then corner rounded my corners with my CM punch to match the card corners.

My image was colored with Copics.
